A hard night of partying and too much alcohol can lead to a rough morning the next day. A hangover happens when a person has too much too drink. In other wards they went over their bodily limit. Some people have a high tolerance for alcohol and some people are drunk after one drink. Regardless of the number of drinks hangovers are not fun and can be dangerous but there are a few home remedies for hangovers that drinkers can try to get over a rough start.

Drinking too much alcohol causes the body to dehydrate. Most people who drink a lot also use the bathroom a lot, and they are releasing lots of water. So a good home remedy for a hangover is to drink fruit or tomato juice. People experiencing a hangover must also drink plenty of water in order to replenish the body's water supply. In addition water helps to drain the excess alcohol out of the body.

Home Remedies for Hangovers – Honey and Vitamin C

Most people don’t know it but honey is one of the good home remedies for hangovers. The fructose contained in honey helps to break down the alcohol. Many people are familiar with vitamin C and it is also one of the recommended home remedies for hangovers because it helps to speed up the rate that the body breaks down the alcohol still present. So have a glass of orange juice to help get rid of that hangover blues.

Home Remedies for Hangovers – Need Potassium

Some people recommend bullion soup or sport drinks such as Gatorade as home remedies for hangovers and this is due to the fact that they can help replace some of the salt and potassium that the body has lost. Bananas are also recommended because they have a lot of potassium. The best way is to just eat them, but some recommend boiling the peels in water and then drinking the mixture once it has cooled.

The Ginger root is recommended to treat various things such as nausea which is generally a symptom of a hangover. For this reason it is part of the home remedies for hangovers list. Most people don’t have ginger just laying around so ginger ale is a viable substitute but if is available boil the roots in some water, add some juice from an orange, ½ lemon juice and ½ cup honey and enjoy. Thyme leaves is also part of the home remedies for hangovers list. The leaves are allowed to boil in water for about 5 minutes and they are then removed and then the water should be drunk.

I have found water is the best remedy for a hangover. Water and quiet. The water helps regenerate your parched system cause the booze sucks the juice out of you.
